Give the Gift of Kiva

This year I decided not to give any "direct" presents to my parents for Christmas. Not because my parents have everything. They don't. But I think giving the gift of Kiva is more in their spirit.

Kiva provides a way of making micro-loans to entrepreneurs in developing countries. These aren't gifts but loans that have to be paid off.

I found out about Kiva from a Frontline documentary. Chris Crosby also has a nice summary of Kiva and how it works on his blog.
